Closed by General Cinema Corporation in 1998 when it decided to shift its focus away from Dallas. The theaters were bulldozed in 2000 to make way for a planned 18 screen multiplex and mall expansion.

Theater contained 2nd THX screen built in U.S. Sound system personally commissioned and designed by Tomlinson Holman. Construction was overseen by George Lucas.
